Archery

The Austin Middle School Archery team participated in a state qualifier tournament on Feb. 4. The archery team shot a team best score of 3022. These scores were turned in to the Indiana National Archery in the Schools Program in an attempt for the team to shoot in the Indiana NASP state championship on March 11 in Indianapolis. The team was ecstatic to accept an invitation to participate in the state archery championship for the first time. The team will travel to the Indiana State Fairgrounds on March 11 to attempt to bring home the state title.

Luke Weddle, a 9th grader at Austin High School also qualified as an individual shooter. The public is encouraged to attend the tournament and cheer on the Austin Eagles.
