Community Based Instruction
Austin Middle School teacher Lee Anne Hahn has taken education into the community with her students. The students have enjoyed learning in the local community as well as surrounding areas. This community based instruction has been funded through various community organizations and class projects (which also provide an educational opportunity). The following are some of the class's recent outings. They have visited so many places such as, The Thomas Edison House in Louisville, KY followed by lunch at Kingfish, the Elf Show during the Galt House Christmas tour in Louisville, KY, a trip to the local dairy, they delivered ornaments to the the residents of Hickory Creek and explored the Newport Aquarium!
