Reminder: Online Safety
We want to take this opportunity to remind you to be proactive in your child’s online presence.
Be proactive as the parent/guardian: - Know and understand how the online world works
- Model positive, smart online behavior
- Monitor and review cell phones and online/social media accounts
- Discuss ways to be safe online
Establish rules for social media accounts:
- Parent permission to open a social media account
- Only accept people that you know
- Share usernames/passwords with parents
- Do not share any personal info such as: location, sex, age, address, or school in public profile
- Do not make threatening statements
