Hello and Welcome to my home page.  My name is Katie Whitehead, formally Katie Tiemeyer.  I am a 2007 graduate of Brownstown Central High School and a 2012 graduate of Indiana State University with a double major in Health and Physical Education Sciences.
I am heading into my 11th year at Austin High School. I am a resident Scott County where I reside with my husband Mark, and daughter Gracie.
I am currently teaching Health and Wellness, Nutrition and Wellness, Advanced Nutrition and Wellness , and Ivy Tech 111.
It is my goal here at Austin High School to educate my students on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle both now and in the future.  I plan to instill in them how important it is to make healthy decisions now so as they continue on the health continuum they  can mature and develop as healthy adults.
My door is always open in the morning and after school.  It is also open during pride time and my prep.  I encourage all of my students to take advantage of these times to ask questions or get help.
I'm very excited and blessed to be here at AHS:)  I am very excited to educate all the students here at AHS in any and all ways I can:)
